Unique Milky Aroma

This cultivar is relatively new, having been registered in Shizuoka on June 26, 2000. Compared to other cultivars, it is known for its faint, milk-like aroma.

Based in the mountainous Yoshiwara area of Shizuoka City—famous for its sea of clouds—the family produces about 2 tons of tea annually (first and second flush). Mr. Murakami began producing black tea a few years ago, and his teas have since won numerous awards in Japan.
